The water will literally boil with white foam
and spray once the starters orders are given! Come and watch the high
speed acceleration and the multiple G Force turns these huge horse powered
machines produce.

Jet Sport West is Western Australian’s Personal Water Craft Club & caters for
the Jet Ski enthusiast or family
who love a leisurely recreational ride on the Swan River or a cruise up and down
our magnificent Coastline. Jet
Sport West also runs a number of social events throughout the year for our
members. Jet Sport West also caters
for the High Speed Jet powered adrenalin junkies who love to ride hard and fast
in a controlled and relatively safe
environment. This weekends demonstration include some of Australia’s top Jet Ski
Riders & Craft in what’s called
a closed course bouy to bouy circuit.
Pole Ski
In the Pole Ski’s or “Stand-Up Riders” as they’re known, the one to watch is
Brett Langford, W.A’s #1 Ski rider
and Unleashed Watersports Signature Rider, craft #615. Brett’s heading up Jet
Sport West Unleashed assault
on this years Flatwater National Championships in Victoria and currently sets
the benchmark for W.A. pole ski
speed with a number of other fast and capable riders busting to knock him from
the number 1 position.
Pro Runabout
The Pro Runabouts are the big bad boyz of Jet Ski racing from 400++ Supercharged
& Turbocharged horsepower
machines to high revving race gas Two Strokes with a multitude of modifications.
We have Aaron Ward a multiple
national level representative on the White and Yellow modified Supercharged GTI
from SeaDoo West, not much
beats this craft from standing start acceleration. We also have WA’s current
number one Richard Bakewell on a
year 2000 freshly painted orange Sea-Doo XPL on which he finished 5th overall in
the 2006 National
Championships. Also one to Watch is Gary Blackburn on the Red Kawasaki 250X a
fairly stock but absolute fine
example of the speed of the latest PWC’s available on today’s market.
800cc Runabout
The 800cc class consists mainly of the smaller fast and very nimble race craft
of the late 90’s, These are a
relatively cheap sports entry level craft, mostly consisting of Sea-Doo XP’s, HX
and the popular Yamaha
WaveBlaster. The racing in this class is usually tight and fast and watch out
for the two time state champion of
this class the “Jet-Ski Chick” Amanda Spagnolo, who has been in brilliant form
of late, beating most of if not all of
the guys.
Novice / Amateur Runabout
The Amateur & Novice class caters for the beginners and is the “bring what
you’ve got” and “give it a go” class.
With PWC sales on the increase this class has been very popular for people of
all ages this past season with
some first year riders absolutely loving the thrills and challenges this type of
sport can bring.
