Want to see the latest in boat trailer design at the Club Marine Summer Boat Show?
Mackay is showcasing a range of new and classic trailers at the Show. This is a
unique opportunity to see the latest designs and also discuss the unique
features of our trailers including:
Lightweight aluminium trailer - helping to reduce the weight of boat packages
Innovative drive-on jetski trailers
Offroad 4WD trailer with heavy duty construction, & shock absorbers
3rd wheel options – to maximise extension to the water
Lightweight aluminium trailer - helping to substantially reduce the overall
weight of boat packages – to allow towing within typical 3.5T constraints.
Managing Director, Kevin Nestadt says “The demand for our new
line of aluminum trailers is mainly in the top-end of boats, from 6.5m upwards,
but is available in all sizes. The high strength-weight ratio of our unique
design allows one to safely tow a 7m cruiser behind a traditional 4WD, thus
avoiding costly upgrades to vehicles”. Kevin adds, “this weight saving is
between 20-25% across the board, which is a substantial difference in the
upgrade of a new vehicle to be used purely for towing”.
Mackay’s Aluminium trailer has been designed from the ground up. “To ensure
strength & rigidity, we have used the highest grade 6082 structural aluminium,
and welded the frame together. Imported American frames are typically bolted
together, and are known to simply fall apart over long distances.” says Kevin.
“Other features of the trailer are the lowride axles which support the boat as
low as possible . This improves the towing dynamics of the trailer and customers
have commented that they don’t even feel the boat behind them.
For ease of launch and retrieval, the trailer has a series of keel rollers
supporting the hull and the option of side support wobble rollers or carpeted
skids. “It’s easy to drive-on without sinking one’s tow vehicle”.
Innovative drive-on / drive-off Jetski / PWC trailers
Simple yet highly effective, this trailer will make jetskiing even easier and
more accessible to everyone.
The fully adjustable “rear rocka” or in layman’s terms - back of the trailer,
drops all the way to the ground, thus allowing for easy launch and retrieval.
Major benefits include
• Full drive-on off-the-beach etc
• use of poor ramps – without drowning the tow vehicle
• less winching (if at all)
• allows for older people etc to use Seadoos – MAKES IT EASIER
• great for surf life saving etc – quick and easy to launch
Full drive-on / drive-off heavy duty trailers for maximum safety, fast & easy
launch & retrieval, maximum reliability and best boat support
Mackay’s classic multi-roller trailer beats the competition hands-down. Major
features include its robust construction, safety & reliability characteristics
including use of the highest quality components including NSK Japanese bearings,
highest quality lithium grease, Landcruiser hubs, First quality Light Truck
tyres, fully galvanised steel components, and a fully adjustable rear rocka
system for fast and easy launch and retrieval – with full drive-on capability.
