Sea Rescue Demonstrations
Safety and education are a huge focus at the 2008 Club Marine
Summer Boating Festival.
With a wide variety of boating and water recreation at our fingertips, safety
procedures are something that no one can afford to neglect. And, at the Club
Marine Summer Boating Festival everyone in your family can learn the basic boat
skills.
FESA Marine Rescue and Air Operations will be taking part in this year show with
some exciting demonstrations including the new FESA helicopter “Fire King”. This
amazing helicopter and its crew will give giving a water bombing display on
Saturday March 8th at 10:30. There will also be daily rescue demonstrations
involving the Rescue 65 helicopter.
If you’re keen to learn more about boating Bob Slights Boat School will be
running informational sessions throughout the three day festival. Boaters will
be able to learn basic boat skills such as knot tying, rope splicing, rough
water boat handling and navigation skills including how to chart. There will
also be flare demonstrations.
There will also be the opportunity to get out on a boat and learn how to dock
safely without damaging your boat.
You will also be able to register for your Recreational Skippers Ticket or, if
you have prefer, even do your theory exam at the show with Bob Slights Boat
School.
Anything you need to know about safe boating you will find at the Club Marine
Summer Boating Festival.
